Endocytic Pathway is a cellular process that allows substances to be brought into the cell. The process involves the formation of a vesicle containing the ingested material by surrounding it with an area of cell membrane. Endocytosis includes pinocytosis (cell drinking) and phagocytosis (cell eating). It is a form of active transport.
